Club History
United City Football Club is the 4x defending national champion in the Philippines Football League (PFL) & 2x Copa Paulino Alcantara in the top-tier professional league in Filipino football. Established in 2012, the club was previously known as Ceres (founded as Ceres–La Salle; renamed Ceres–Negros in 2017) before its ownership change and relocation in 2020 required a name change to United City Football Club (UCFC).
UCFC became not only the first Filipino Club to enter the group stages of the AFC Champions League in 2021 but also the first local club to draw and win a game on this level, posting a respectable 1:1 and a 3:2 win against the Chinese Super League powerhouse Beijing FC.
Following its success in football, the club also unveiled its Esports division – UCFC eSports – in its aim to be best of the best in Asia whether it be on the football field or a professional gaming environment.

“Our Field of Dreams”
We are proud to announce that the United City F.C. “Sports & Entertainment Destination” which is mainly built around football, has just kicked off internally. “Our Field of Dreams” will be the home to our team, a place where the youth can aspire to become a professional player, where 10,000 fans can celebrate the ups and downs of competitions, where the traveler will find suitable lodging options and where the community will get together for shopping, dining and entertainment. Other planned facilities include a dedicated training center for the first team and our youth academy to practice as well as an indoor multi-purpose venue for hosting events such as conferences, concerts, exhibitions and indoor sports competitions such as basketball, volleyball, futsal, and others.
We are actively studying our shortlisted locations in order to announce the new home of UCFC by early January while in the meantime we are openly inviting new partner discussions to join the project. This is a team-effort and we look forward to receiving the help and support needed to break ground in 2024 and kick the first ball during the 2025 PFL season.
