UNITED City FC (UCFC) takes the lead in the 2022 Copa Paulino Alcantara after a 4-0 drubbing of Azkals Development Team (ADT) on March 31 at the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.


UCFC’s new signings, once again, led the team to victory


Argentinian midfielder Ricki Senda hit the opening goal in just 12 minutes of action. Tajik midfielder Amirbek Juraboev added another goal in the 21st minute.


Late in the second half, UCFC finished off ADT with a 71st minute goal by Cebuano striker Ivan Ouano and in the 89th minute by former Kaya FC-Iloilo forward Kenshiro Daniels.


UCFC is now at the top with seven points from two wins and a draw. Kaya FC is second with four points from a win and a draw, while ADT is third with three points from a win and a loss. Maharlika Manila FC is fourth, also with three points, but behind on goal difference.


Mendiola FC 1991 is at the bottom with no points from two losses. Dynamic Herb Cebu and Stallion FC have not yet played a game this season.


UCFC is facing Mendiola FC 1991 next on April 4.
