The national U-23 football team shifted its preparations to high gear, unveiling its lineup for the upcoming AFF U23 Championship in Cambodia from 14 to 26 February, according to the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).

A 26-man pool has been formed as part of the buildup for the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi in May as the Philippines prepares to rumble with host Cambodia, Timor-Leste and Brunei in Group A with the Morodok Techno National Stadium and Prince Stadium serving as venues for the event.

With Stewart Hall calling the shots, the team has actually set up camp in Cambodia after undergoing a series of workouts under strict safety protocols at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite, and Biñan Football Stadium in Biñan, Laguna.

Beefing up the squad are Dennis Chung, Oliver Bias, Oskari Kekkoken, Sandro Reyes and goalkeeper Quincy Kameraad.

The five booters were also part of the Azkals squad that saw action in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 late last year.

Also joining are fellow Azkals Development Team players like Pete Andrei Forrosuelo, Lance Ocampo, Andres Aldeguer and Ivan Ouano.

Philippines Football League youngsters Jessie Semblante and Mariano Suba of Mendiola FC, Gyles Lucas Encabo, Jayvee Kallukaran and Griffin McDaniel of Stallion Laguna FC, Kieran Hayes and Pocholo Bugas of United City FC and Jaime Rosquillo of Dynamic Herb Cebu FC also made the cut.
