Camiguin-Misamis Oriental Football Team Wins PFF’s U19 Boys National Championship 2022

Mga higala! The Camiguin-Misamis Oriental Regional Football Association (CMORFA) recently won the National Group Stage of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Under 19 Boys National Championship 2022 (Division 2) for Visayas and Mindanao!
This event was held in Zamboanga City last August 23-27, 2022.
ICYMI, below are CMORFA’s regional and national performance results:
REGIONAL GROUP STAGE | CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY | JUNE 24-28
- CMORFA vs Butuan-Agusan Del Norte Football Association (BANFA): 1-0
- CMORFA vs Agusan del Sur-Surigao del Sur Regional Football Association (AGSURFA): 6-0
- CMORFA vs Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Island Regional Football Association (SNADIRFA): 2-1
NATIONAL GROUP STAGE | ZAMBOANGA CITY | AUGUST 23-27
- CMORFA vs Zamboanga – Basilan – Sulu – Tawi-Tawi Football Association (ZAMBASULTA): 4-0
- CMORFA vs Golden Davao Regional Football Association (GODARFA): 4-0
- CMORFA vs Central Visayas Football Association (CVFA): 1-1
CMORFA was then crowned Champion by a match point system gathering 2 wins and 1 draw (7 points), while CVFA finished 1st runner-up by gathering 1 win and 2 draws (5 points).
The said teams will be promoted from Division 2 to Division 1 next season, along with United City FC and Stallion Laguna FC.
