The topnotch 20,000 stadium at New Clark City here will host United City FC’s match with the Azkals Development Team on 22 October and the 5 November date with Stallion Laguna FC in the Philippine Football League.

UCFC president Eric Gottschalk made the announcement Tuesday during a press conference put up by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority with senior vice president Arrey Perez, Central Luzon Football Association head Alvin Yalung and the Philippine Football Federation Secretary General Edwin Gastanes in attendance.

The venue, which was built during the country’s staging of the 30th Southeast Asian Games, “is built for world class football,” Gottschalk said.

“We are happy that we will be able to conduct our football games over here,” he said.

Gottschalk added that playing here is not the only positive thing that will happen in the area.

“We don’t just want to be guests. We want to embed our football club into the community programs and into the activities here because we want the sport to grow.”
